It’s the Italian phrase “Fare una bella figura” (presenting yourself in the best possible way) that truly epitomizes Cavallaro Napoli; from immaculately-tailored shirts to perfectly-fitted blazers, the brand’s signature style remains ever defined, ever alluring and ever Italian.
The son of an Italian father and Dutch mother, founder Giuseppe Cavallaro always had a love of impeccable style and an affinity with the heart of tailoring; Naples. On a mission to bring this sense of sartorial style to the Netherlands, he set up Cavallaro Napoli in 1999.
True to his intricate knowledge of Italian design, the first ever Cavallaro Napoli collection of silk ties was crafted by Giuseppe in a small atelier in the centre of Naples – it was sold to friends and family and signalled the beginning of the brand’s meteoric growth.
Three years on and with Giuseppe’s unrivalled attention to detail, the first shirt collection launched in 2003 and was a sell-out success – the signature high collars, intricate embroidered logo on the right hand sleeve and standout prints immediately caught the attention of the Netherlands’ style mavens.
From here Giuseppe began supplying small boutiques in the Netherlands before launching his first brand store in Utrecht – this was set to mark the beginning of Cavallaro Napoli’s impressive rise. His eye for intricate design has seen the brand expand to where it stands today with 17 brand stores and 350 sales points nationally and internationally.
